For The Love Of Alison

After traveling 6000 miles from North Carolina to California Beau and I have returned Alison's portrait to the Artist, John Paul Thornton. I was proud that Beau and I had the opportunity to participate in the Guardian Angel Project. We enjoyed having the ability to share Alison's story with so many wonderful people. I have high hopes that Alison will be returned to her family one day soon.
Next year when this project comes around on May 25th please think about how you can help. This has been one of John Paul Thornton's life ambitions. It has become one for me also.

Also note that this photo of John Paul and myself was taken in the Burbank , California in the Burbanks Park and Recreation Gallery where John Paul has a current show. The painting in the background is from a collection by John Paul while in Tibet. The Tibetan Government-in-exile in Dharamsala, India granted John Paul permission as an artist and educator to live and work in the Tibetan refugee settlements of Nepal, giving him first hand experience with the traditions and peoples of the Himalayas. This has led to the creation of a vast ongoing series of paintings exploring the imagery of ceremonies, sacred religious rituals and rites of passage.
