Well seen. The one deer raising it's head to look in your direction adds to the drama.

Amazing, amazing work!!!
There's a saltiness in the atmosphere that I cannot quite understand. I mean, I should be thinking about deer and forests but all I can think about is going to the beach :worry:

We were in a house in a marshy area. This was off the back deck, where we have also fished. Definitely the salt marsh smell in the air. Love that place. Thanks for the lovely compliment!

thanks so much... I love wildlife and it was plentiful in Hilton Head, SC. Here in Australia the Kangaroo's have that deer look to me... :thumb106210394: It is in their facial structure....

What a lovely comment...Harry is actually the owner of the house where I stayed. He is in his late 80's so the family uses it more than he does. He is so generous to share. He bought that place way back 25 years ago. It is a gorgeous location!

It is amazing how we consider it such high praise to say that a photograph looks like a painting or a painting like a photograph.

Beautiful work, Gayle.

Nature has a way of producing beautiful paintings! What a oh my gosh beautiful place!!!!Hope you and Corky are doing well. We have had setbacks here in NC, so probably will not make it to Rochester this trip. We are trying to head West in a few weeks.

Ugh. I gathered things had been not as hoped in NC with your house. Hang in there, you guys. If you can make it to Rochester, great. In any case, you go with our prayers.

this is a place so serene and quiet. The deer are fun to watch. Pretty good size too. We were catching fish right off the deck (Red Puppy Drum) when the tide was in. What a place! The best part was all the bars at Hilton Head have great deals on Happy Hour!!!! Dollar drinks and eats... I was enjoying the Bloody Marys this trip. Beau was partial to the Fat Tire beers!!!!!
